Want to plan an amazing birthday party ? Not sure where to start?
Here is a need-to-know guide to planning a memorable party for your little one!
Set the scene – I am a firm believer of giving your guests a taste of the excitement that is yet to come. Our party guests were greeted as they arrived with a construction barricade with a caution sign letting them know a birthday party is in progress!
Make them part of the fun – At this event we gave each little party goer a construction helmet as soon as they entered to let them know that they were a part of the crew.
Create a focal point – Here we added a fun backdrop behind the cake table to drive home our theme. We added a grass runner for texture, orange construction cones and small tool boxes.
Make the table scape interactive – This is where your creativity can shine! We used a roadway as a table runner and put little toy truck on the table for the kiddos to play with, and splurged on construction cone cups with straws that your guests can take home with them to remind them how much fun they had!
It’s all in details – Don’t forget about the little details that help create the magic. Ask your kids what the coolest part of construction is to them, and run with it. We added these super cute inflatable tires and caution tape around the room. Take things up a notch by creating your own “Caution” signs – Caution Fun Ahead – Caution Construction Crew Must Wear Helmets At All Times. Another fun idea is to customize the construction hats with a printable sticker that says your little one’s name – Tyler’s Crew. You can use a dump truck to hold extra napkins or utensil. Keeping with our theme, we ordered paper plates and napkins with construction trucks in a bright orange color.
Just take it step-by-step and follow these easy guidelines to create a memorable and fun party for your little construction worker.
